Return to Monkey Island Game Review

The Return To Monkey Island is an unexpected and thrilling return for series the series’ creator Ron Gilbert that continues the epic story of the legendary adventure game The Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games.

Guybrush Threepwood has been a lengthy time since he was last engaged in an intellectual fight with LeChuck and his zombie pirate nemesis. The woman he loves most, Elaine Marley, has switched her attention away from ruling and Guybrush himself is on the run and unfulfilled, having never realized what he believed to be the Secret of Monkey Island. The hip, young pirate leaders, led by Captain Madison, have removed the old guard. Melee Island is now in turmoil and Stan who is well-known as a businessman is sentenced to prison for “marketing-related infractions”.

Enjoy a chat with your old pals and new faces on familiar islands with a brand new, dangerous leader. In the next episode, you’ll venture off to open oceans to uncover the undiscovered while trying to solve difficult problems.
